Extending the Forest Schools

“Forest School” is an educational approach that is based on learning in nature and includes all kinds of activities that support the development and learning of students. In addition to the concept of in-school education, it includes activities that take students beyond the classical education approach and enable them to discover nature and themselves, offer students the opportunity to learn by doing and experience, and support the development of motor-coordination skills through psycho-motor activities.
With the activities we carried out in the “Dissemination of Forest Schools” project; we aim to be a role model for the dissemination of forest schools in our country, to go beyond classical education and develop a student-centered learning approach, and to make students to be satisfied with what they do and enjoy nature during their education.
This guide covers the activities we implemented in the Erasmus+ K210 Forest School Dissemination Project, and thus we aim to contribute to our teachers in developing forest school learning activities.
We would like to thank all our partners and stakeholders who took part in the Expansion of Forest Schools project for their contributions.
