 At the end of our project, we received our certificates with all our partners. We completed our project, which provided great memories and important contributions for us and our students, by receiving our certificates.

Project Activities

  We carried out many activities throughout our project regarding forest schools. For example, we painted stones, had outdoor lessons, and visited museums and historical places. We conducted teacher training and attended handicraft workshops. We made mandala paintings, got acquainted with the world-famous Turkish art of Marbling, and made musical instruments. We had our science and mathematics lessons in nature, We experienced the story and making of the local traditional onion bread with our teachers and students, Orienteering with Legendary Heroes, we joined the Kazimierz City Tour. We have all had many experiences with learning in nature and forest schools.

Extending the Forest Schools

“Forest School” is an educational approach that is based on learning in nature and includes all kinds of activities that support the development and learning of students. In addition to the concept of in-school education, it includes activities that take students beyond the classical education approach and enable them to discover nature and themselves, offer students the opportunity to learn by doing and experience, and support the development of motor-coordination skills through psycho-motor activities. With the activities we carried out in the “Dissemination of Forest Schools” project; we aim to be a role model for the dissemination of forest schools in our country, to go beyond classical education and develop a student-centered learning approach, and to make students to be satisfied with what they do and enjoy nature during their education.
